Effective date: June 3, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Fato handles information in connection with the Fato app and related services.
1. Who we are
Fato is operated by Fa To International SH.P.K., based in Prishtine, Kosovo. Contact us at privacy@fatointernational.com for privacy questions.
2. Information we may collect
- Account information such as name, username, email, profile photo, bio, interests, country, and profile settings.
- User content such as posts, clips, stories, Daybook updates, comments, reactions, and messages.
- Social interaction information such as follows, Hearts requests, accepted/refused counts, Radar interactions, reports, and blocks.
- Device and usage information such as app version, device type, crash logs, diagnostics, IP address, approximate location, and activity needed to operate and protect the service.
- Support information that you send to us by email or through contact forms.
3. How we use information
- To create and manage accounts and profiles.
- To provide posts, stories, messages, Radar, Hearts, Daybook, and community discovery features.
- To personalize the experience based on interests and country settings.
- To respond to support, privacy, safety, and abuse reports.
- To improve reliability, security, moderation, and user experience.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Sharing of information
Some profile and user content may be visible to other users depending on app features and settings. We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, hosting providers, analytics or crash reporting providers, legal authorities when required, or safety organizations when necessary to protect users.
5. User-generated content
Fato includes user-generated content. Users are responsible for the content they share. Report abusive, illegal, exploitative, or harmful content through the app or by emailing abuse@fatointernational.com.
6. Children and minors
Fato does not allow child sexual abuse or exploitation. Users must follow all safety rules. If you believe a child is at risk, contact safety@fatointernational.com and local authorities if there is immediate danger.
7. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce policies, and protect users. Retention periods may vary based on account status, safety reports, and legal requirements.
8. Your rights and choices
You may request access, correction, deletion, or information about your data by emailing privacy@fatointernational.com. We may need to verify account ownership before processing requests.
9. Account deletion
To request account or data deletion, email privacy@fatointernational.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include your Fato username.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
11. International users
By using Fato, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, subject to applicable laws.
